About The Club
It's our members that make our club strong. We are blessed to have members who are happy to share their time, experience, talent and enthusiasm to help the club grow.
- Fun Matches are a great way to train and socialize young dogs and give handlers a chance to practice showing their dogs in conformation. Members, judges and fellow exhibitors provide guidance, tips and advice that will help you and your dog prepare for the show ring. It is a supportive and fun experience.
- Responsible Dog Ownership Day is an annual event that is hosted by the AKC. Breed clubs are invited to participate and promote responsible dog ownership. It's designed to be fun for the whole family and it's a great way to introduce our breed to the public, provide literature and answer questions.
- Meet the Breed gives breed clubs a chance to introduce their breed to the public. Breed clubs set up booths with pictures and educational literature about their breed. Friendly dogs are always available to represent the breed and to greet the public.
- Raffles are held at least once a year in conjunction with a dog show. Volunteers collect a selection of items to put up for auction. Tickets are sold during the event and a drawing is held at the end of the show.
- Tar Heel Chinese Crested Club (THCCC) Fun Day is an annual event where club members can participate and enjoy fun activities with their dogs and fellow members. Please visit our 2009 Fun Day Slide Show.
- Seminars on grooming, training, breeding and many other topics are offered at least once a year.
