The Tar Heel Chinese Crested Club is a not-for-profit club established in 2005 serving Chinese Crested fanciers in the Carolinas and southern Virginia. The objectives of the club are:

To encourage and promote quality in the breeding of purebred Chinese Cresteds, and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection;
To urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by The American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence by which Chinese Cresteds shall be judged;
To do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows and companion events;
To conduct sanctioned matches, dog shows and companion events under the rules and regulations of The American Kennel Club.

The Chinese Crested is a unique breed that comes fully coated or hairless. They are smart, loyal and eager to please. Besides being perfect little lap warmers, they excel in obedience, rally, agility, therapy and many other companion events. They are playful and affectionate little dogs that are guaranteed to make you laugh at their silly antics.
